Hello and thanks for stopping by my website. My name is Kim Tyler. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters, Madisen and Lindsey, that keep us busy busy busy and constantly running, but we wouldn't have it any other way! I am located in Kinder, Louisiana and photograph the surrounding areas. The majority of the work you see on my website is done here on the 40 acres we live on. But if you have a location in mind, just let me know, I can definitely travel to you.

What can I expect at my session?

To have lots and lots of fun!! So many people get nervous, there is no reason for that. We will have a very fun laid back session. Most sessions typically last about an hour, sometimes more sometimes less.

Can I bring a change of clothes?

Absolutely, I always ask how many changes of clothes there will be so I will know how many shots to get in each outfit.

How many proofs will I be able to choose from?

I show 30-40 images per session.

How long will it be before I can view my proofs?

Typically I will have the proofs available for you to view within two weeks. They will be placed in the "client proofing" section of this website and you will be given a password to enter your gallery.

How long will I have to place an order?

Once the proofs are placed online you will have two weeks to place your order. All unordered images will be purged after 90 days.

How far in advance should I schedule my appointment?

I typically stay booked up about 1-2 months in advance. During busy seasons, October/November and March/April, I book up 2-3 months in advance. So if you know that you would like a date in a particular month, contact me right away and we can get you in the books.

What should we wear?

A good rule of thumb for families or children is the top from one person should coordinate with the bottoms of another. So everyone does not all have to match, as long as you coordinate you will be fine!

I have no idea what to order, can you help?

I sure can, snap a picture of your wall and email it to me and I can design you a collection right on your wall so you can get a visual of what it will look like. I'm a very visual person and have to "see" it before I can order the prints. I've helped many customers this way.

When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?

Give me a call to schedule your session while you are still pregnant. I will mark down in my book when your due date is and this way I will be sure to have time available in my schedule for your session. All of the newborns you see on my website are under two weeks old, majority are only a week old. So if you don't feel like getting out don't worry I can come to you!

What should my newborn wear?

I prefer to photograph neborns with nothing on or just a simple onsie. I do use blankets to swaddle them, some don't like not having anything on, so I adjust to make them comfortable. I also bring a small space heater with me and put that blowing on the baby to ensure they are warm enough. We may be sweating, but they will be very comfortable.

Why are newborn sessions more expensive?

Babies this small are very unpredicitable and many sessions last for hours. I do not rush them, we work around feedings and diaper changes. I set aside a whole morning when I have a baby scheduled. The sitting fee for a newborn is $75.

Do you travel to other locations?

I absolutely do, the sitting fee for me to travel around the Kinder area is $75, if you have a location of your choice, contact me and we can discuss it.

Do you have a studio?

I do not have a studio, I work out of my home. Majority of the work I do is done here on my property, we live on 40 acres and have a pond next to our house. I do have studio equipment that I can bring with me on location, or I can set it up in my home.
